Deadline: Lodge by 1 October 2026

SIL Provider Registration

SIL Registration Is Now Mandatory. Don't Let the Deadline Cost You Your Participants.

From 1 July 2026, only registered providers can deliver Supported Independent Living. If you were already delivering SIL, you must lodge your application by 1 October 2026 to keep delivering while the Commission assesses you. We help you get there — fast, correctly, and audit-ready.

What changed on 1 July 2026

Supported Independent Living is now its own class of support under section 73E of the NDIS Act. A new practice standards module — Module 5A: Assistance with Supported Independent Living — now applies to every SIL provider on top of the Core Module, and is assessed through a certification audit. That means a site visit and interviews, not just a desktop review.

If you miss the 1 October 2026 lodgement deadline, you cannot continue delivering SIL while you apply — and your participants will need to move to a registered provider.

Which registration groups apply to you?

Accommodation providers generally need one or both of the following, depending on what your business actually delivers.

0115Certification stream

Assistance with Daily Life Tasks in a Group or Shared Living Arrangement

This is the pathway for providers delivering Supported Independent Living, respite-style accommodation supports, or support services in group or shared living settings. It is about the support delivered in the living arrangement — not just the roof over someone's head.

Module 5A applies on top of the Core Module for all 0115 SIL providers.
0131Certification stream + Supplementary Module 5

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)

This is the pathway for providers delivering SDA housing for participants with extreme functional impairment or very high support needs. It is about the housing itself — tenancy arrangements, dwelling certification, enrolment, and the clear separation between housing and support.

0131 is not interchangeable with 0115. The distinction affects how your business must be structured and what the auditor will assess.

What Module 5A requires

Since 1 July 2026, Module 5A applies to every SIL provider and is assessed across nine domains at certification audit.

Participant support planning
Daily living assistance and personal care
Rostering and staffing arrangements
Overnight and after-hours support
Incident and emergency response
Medication and delegated supports
Risk management and environmental safety
Recordkeeping and progress monitoring
Complaints handling and safeguarding

How we help you get registered

01

Identify the right pathway

We determine whether your business should apply for 0115, 0131, or both — based on what you actually intend to deliver, not a generic template.

02

Prepare your tailored documentation

We prepare a first draft of your application, policy suite, and supporting documents built around your accommodation model, staffing structure, and audit pathway.

03

Align your systems with the standards

We refine the documentation so it reflects your actual operations — your housing environment, governance systems, and the way support is actually delivered.

04

Prepare you for certification audit

Both 0115 and 0131 sit in the certification stream. We coach you on what auditors assess so there are no surprises on the day.

05

Support you through to lodgement

From first consultation through to submission, we help you move forward with clarity and avoid the avoidable mistakes that delay applications.

The deadline that matters is lodgement — not approval

If you were delivering SIL before 1 July 2026, the date that protects you is the date you lodge your application — not the date the Commission approves it. Lodge by 1 October 2026 and you can keep delivering while they assess you. The Commission's decision typically takes 3–9 months after your audit. That part is outside anyone's control. The lodgement date is not.

We can have your documentation ready in as little as 2 business days on our fast-track timeline.
